Q&A with Sari Taurez author of Bubblegum

Monday, 9 October 2017

I am so excited to post my very first Q&A to my blog! I am planning to have a whole series of these coming soon on my blog and to start off with a bang I had the pleasure oft interviewing Sari Taurez author of the action packed Bubblegum.

I was lucky enough to receive a copy of Bubblegum to review prior to its release which is tomorrow!I gave it a 4/5 and you can find my review here and purchase Bubblegum here.

  1. Get to know the Author: What is your favourite Book? Movie? Song?

Favorite book: Beauty Queens by Libba Bray. I read it while going through my first self-edits of Bubblegum, and it just blew me away. It has a lot of the same stuff I want Bubblegum to be known for: diverse cast, lots of badass ladies, and action that never lets up (but isn’t mindless action, either).

But seeing Leon suddenly ‘In a relationship’ on Facebook with the perfect Anna, spurs Emma into action and she embarks on a mission to make positive changes to her life (or ‘edits,’ if you will) and vows to use the internet for more than obsessively stalking Leon’s activities! Instead, she will use it for good and noble causes like finding someone who will actually be nice to her, and recording her findings for the rest of the world to see (i.e. BFF Steph and her mum) on her new Editing Emma blog.

But Emma soon discovers her ‘habit’ is harder to break than she first thought – turns out she’s not the only one ‘editing’ herself online (thank you Tinder for finding her mum’s profile, age 35, really?) and that life through an Instagram filter isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be. But it could be worse, she could have outed her best friend, accidentally chatted up a 12 year old boy and revealed to the world why Leon Naylor is worth no girl’s time or virginity… oh no wait, that’s exactly what happened...

TAG TUESDAY: The Taylor Swift Book Tag

Tuesday, 5 September 2017

Happy Tuesday everybody! I am so excited about this tag, I didn't even realise it existed until today and I don't know about you but I am loving her new songs, so when I saw this I thought OMG YESS!

1. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (A book or series that you were pretty sure that you were in love with, but then wanted to break up with)

I used to LOVE Twilight when I was younger, I was a diehard Twihard and me and my friends would read them in school and then go and see the movies together. I think I outgrew this series slightly, I admittedly haven't re-read the series since high school, so who knows maybe I will love them again when I re-read them, but for now they are my guilty pleasure.

TAG TUESDAY: Chocolate Book Tag

Wednesday, 30 August 2017

So I've decided I am going to start doing 'Tag Tuesday',  where I complete a book tag I've seen or been tagged in. I want to start posting more regularly and I think this is a great way to get the momentum flowing.

For my first Tag Tuesday I am going to be completing The Chocolate Book Tag, I was tagged by the lovely Becky from Coffee, Cocktails and Books. Thank you for this tag Becky and for all your support.

1Dark Chocolate — A book that covers a dark topic (abuse, domestic violence, rape, loneliness, bullying, death, etc)

Thirteen Reasons Why covers most of the above topics mentioned, I will give a trigger warning for these as well as suicide, it is a very heavy read and not a book I would recommend to someone lightly.
